Two searches for the same week can differ by a factor of five, and almost none of that is luck. Four decisions do most of the work, and you make them before you ever see a price.
Four days and ten days are different products
Every hire carries the fixed cost of one handover, one clean and one set of paperwork. Over four days that cost lands hard. Over ten it thins out. That is the usual direction, not a guaranteed one, so search both lengths.

So, the honest version: that cheapest car is one vehicle from one small supplier, not a class and not a guarantee. Read it as proof the floor here is low, then budget from the lower quarter.
