Landed at Cilipi just before eleven at night and still had the keys within half an hour. The supplier waited for the flight, which is not something I would have assumed at that hour.

Booked specifically because the listing said the car could cross into Montenegro. It went on the contract at pickup, the green card was in the folder, and the crossing at Karasovici took eight minutes.
A small automatic for five days, which was the right call for the climbs above Lapad. The pickup point took a little finding, so allow ten minutes more than you think.
Debit card accepted with no fuss at all, which the big names had already told me was impossible. Nothing was held on the card and nothing appeared on it afterwards.
We drove to Ston for the walls and the oysters and came back the same afternoon. The road over the new bridge is genuinely easy, and there is no border on it any more.
Left the car in a garage near Gruz for two days and took the boat out to Lopud instead. Worth knowing there are no cars on that island at all before you plan around it.
Seven seats for six of us plus luggage, collected at the airport and dropped back there. The boot with all the seats up is small, so we packed soft bags and it was fine.
Picked the car up on day three rather than on arrival, which saved two days of parking we would never have used. Konavle in the morning and back inside the walls by dinner.
